SpeechPad

For some people this plugin is a toy and for other it’s a life saver! Nevertheless we decided to make a plugin that will interpret what you say, compare it to the words or phrases you decide and fire corresponding outputs.

Note: This plugin will run on the machine your Core is installed on, thus mostly only offering a localy positioned microphone. A serious home automation builder would of-course install microphones in the ceiling in every room of the building. :)

Note2: You must have the proper speech pack installed on your Core machine in order to use your selected language. Please refer to this link for downloading a language pack of your choice.

The below example shows that a selected phrase in the SpeechPad plugin will trigger the OpenWeatherMap plugin to fetch (and thus output) fresh weather data.
